Restful White

12″ x 12″ | Oil on Canvas Board | This is an oil study in preparation for a larger painting. The colored under painting shows in places, these are pentimenti, traces of the previous work. Its fun to leave zings of color otherwise not expected. For me it adds something unexpected to a painting and gives me ideas for future works….! This a bouquet of hydrangea, peonies, twigs and greenery.
