Join us at Art on Center for the unique chance to view a commissioned painting by Claire Kendrick. The magnificent 12ft x 6.5ft Marsh Painting “Joyful Heart” is one of the largest private home installations we are delighted to have the opportunity to share with you before it leaves the gallery for  its new home. Opening Night – Saturday 14th, Sep, 2019 exhibiting for four weeks.

What is involved when I Commission a Painting?

When you commission a painting by artist Claire J Kendrick, the process is exhilarating! We work with the collector’s, visit the site, produce sample artwork en plein air, help them define the look and composition that works best. Superimposed renderings of artwork on photos of the wall spaces, until we reach the perfect answer for the collector, and composition for the space. 
Sometimes you love and appreciate an artist’s body of work, but want a customized artwork bespoke to your decor color and style, or have the perfect size for a specific spot in your home or corporate office. 

Claire has successfully worked with many collectors to help define and execute their unique vision in a commissioned piece. One of our collectors has commissioned a 6 ft x 12 ft Landscape Painting by Irish Artist Claire J Kendrick she has been based State Side near St. Augustine, Florida, for 14 years and is known locally and internationally for her dramatic large seascape and landscape works of art, inspired by Florida coastal life. Her paintings bring a sense of color and drama to any room. The process is thrilling! 

Art on Centre, facilitated all communications between busy collectors and the artist, resulting in a relaxed and FUN experience for all. Claire is an artist who thrives on commission work. Not all artists love the pressure but Claire in her previous career is used to the fast paced environment of the fashion design world. Claire worked in Paris, London, Brussels and has traveled extensively she takes commission work seriously and has a brilliant stylish esthetic in imagining and creating a work of art that will sing in a room. Now in her real job – being a full time painter it’s a career and a choice not for the faint hearted. 

Artists Notes on Commission Paintings!

It’s a gutsy move said the artist, for the artist and collector to commission a painting, everyone is staring at a blank wall imagining what will be! We try using all the essential tools to walk a client through the process so they are excited, with GoPro technology I can send clients time delay video so they can see the speedy version of what’s happening. Everyone loves that part! Meeting the clients, seeing the space and it’s a joy and honor to translate the collective vision onto canvas. Growing up in a family of architects and designers the job site is familiar territory – seeing through the chaos – seeing the vision – it is compelling and very satisfying. – Claire Kendrick
