Grand Love Story
36″ x 60″ | Oil Encaustic Peonies, twigs and foliage…. this was a still life set up I painted a few times in different sizes and formats. Sometimes when a subject clicks, its inspiring to work on it repetitively and in a burst of creativity explore varied brushwork and paint language.

The spontaneity and aliveness is hard to sometimes recreate in the studio and in a large scale — but this one has lots of energy. Here is the painting again – this time outside – just to give a sense of the proportions!
