36″ x 60″ | Oil Encaustic Peonies, twigs and foliage…. this was a still life set up I painted a few times in different sizes and formats. Sometimes when a subject clicks, its inspiring to work on it repetitively and in a burst of creativity explore varied brushwork and paint language.
12″ x 12″ | Oil on Canvas Board | This is an oil study in preparation for a larger painting. The colored under painting shows in places, these are pentimenti, traces of the previous work. This a bouquet of hydrangea, peonies, twigs and greenery.
