Out in the field, where sky meets marsh and wind sketches the landscape before any brush can—this is where the work begins.

Before a painting is born, there is a deep, immersive process—one rooted in observation, patience, and connection. Today, our artist ventures into the wild quiet, where brine-bleached grasses and oyster beds speak in texture and light. Dragonflies hover, birds call, and somewhere between wind gusts and glints of water, new compositions begin to take shape.

Sketchbook in hand, this is the part of the journey that’s rarely seen: the research, the listening, the capturing of color, gesture, and atmosphere directly from nature. This is fieldwork—part science, part soul work—where every line is a meditation and every moment an offering.
