Sparkle for the Festive Season
Put some sparkle in your weekend, Saturday 17th November, 2012 the Worley Faver Gallery will celebrate their 6th Anniversary and on the same night the city of St Augustine hosts “Nights of Lights”.
St Augustine is made special by the many small businesses that are supported locally. Aviles Street in particular has a special flavor and many who know the city well will tell you it’s the hidden jewel in the historic old town. Away from the hustle and bustle of St George Street, many have missed it on their tours. Often tourists have taken a ride in the horse and buggy’s only to spend hours retracing the route to find and visit the charming street, officially the oldest street in the United States!
Business owners Dena and Worley Faver say … “When we opened the Worley Faver Gallery in 2006, we had no idea what to expect. That was six years ago and now, looking back, we both agree that the most unexpected and rewarding gift of all has been meeting so many wonderful people who have enriched our lives with their encouragement and friendship. ….The appreciation and enjoyment of Art is alive and well in St. Augustine”.
As any artist will tell you when exhibiting work, it’s important to find a gallery that is a good fit. This means finding a great location, a setting that’s inviting and to work with people who appreciate your craft and who will showcase and promote your work. As part of the Worley Faver Gallery 6th Anniversary Celebrations it is with great pride I show some of my most recent and daring Figurative and Floral Paintings. The gallery showcases pottery, fine art, sculpture and photography.
