Plein Air Study in a dark shady side part of the lake at the Jacksonville Arboretum. These dark dense areas are a maze of shapes and color shifts and loads of stuff that just boggles the mind. Seeing shapes and simplifying the mass was the challenge here. So these paintings become like songs notes, staccatos’ and pause steps to make it read as one place, feeling or moment.
