New Exhibit of Paintings at the Worley Faver Gallery, St Augustine
The Worley Faver Gallery is excited to present the latest works by Claire J Kendrick. Claire recently devoted herself to intensive study with American Contemporary Artist Anne Packard and these stunning paintings reveal the influence that Anne has had on Claire’s work. Claire demonstrates the principle that with each brush stroke you have an opportunity to express emotion, depth and passion. Little Gems
Saturday March 17th, 2012 from 5pm-8.30pm “Little Gems” – This unique event will be at the Worley Faver Gallery and will be an opportunity to purchase paintings for under $500. This established gallery will be giving collectors a special chance to meet the artists and view smaller works of art, not usually on display. Edit, edit, edit then squint and choose the view that will interest you and hold your attention. This view was stunning but given the time of year was flat on the value scale so I had fun making some of those color vibrations yet still making the painting
St Augustine Sunset Series
The Sunset St Augustine series – these were fun to paint en plein air and studio, they are painted in a warm palette and reflect the heat of our little old St Augustine, these views are from Vilano driving into the city looking across the marsh and bay! In one the St Augustine lighthouse is visible and in the second The Bridge of Lions was open and so from a distance this was just visible on the horizon. Enjoy
