Oil paint mixed with wax and brought outside, with a blow torch melt heavy layers of paint being careful not to burn areas. This seascape was painted on location in Provincetown, Cape Cod, MA. For me, the exact likeness was not as important as capturing the “feel” of the place. Below a detail picture of the painting!
