20″ x 20″ | Encaustic | In studio We have had a week of rainfall with Topical Storm Debbie so I have been forced to work in the studio. This painting is a combination of oil paint and wax. If there is a dry spell I take the painting outside and fire up the blow torch, and fling a few flames and continue painting. This seascape was painted on location in Provincetown, Cape Cod, MA. For me, the exact likeness was not as important as capturing the “feel” of the place. Below a detail picture of the painting!
